Leads ACCI to grow numerically by providing kingdom leadership in the area of evangelism. To work with and under the direction of the pastors to enable the church to focus on the Great Commission and to equip the church to carry out the functions of the church in evangelism, discipleship, ministry and fellowship. It is to follow up on newly born again believers, and encourage, teach, challenge and inspire them to become participating members as in scripture and in line with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of ACCI.
USHERING & PROTOCOL
Ushering: Serves the needs and comfort of Congregation and guests. They ensure auditorium, Rest Rooms and Foyer areas are clean, set up and ready for operation. Also they ensure hall ways and exit areas are free from obstruction in compliance with Health & Safety regulations; they provide safe and healthy environment. Protocol: Serves the needs and comfort of Pastors/Senior Pastors & Guest Ministers by actively helping them with all activities that will enable them carry out their ministration and function effectively.
EVENTS & HOSPITALITY
Events: Co-ordinates all events in ACCI including Sundays, Saturdays and all other weekday meetings taking direction from theme of event. The team brings other ministries together for a common goal and purpose; giving direction and support to all ministries involved in the event. Hospitality: In collaboration with both Events and Protocol Teams, Hospitality Team provides refreshments to guests and members at events when necessary. ADMINISTRATION Maintains filing, database management and all communication systems. Implement distribution of a monthly online newsletter. Maintains networking system and builds strong relationships with leaders in order for all events and church activities to run smoothly
Anchor Kidz
This is our Children’s ministry responsible for reaching out, Instructing, Teaching and Training ACCI Children from age 14 Months to fifteen years with sound, down to earth biblical and practical teachings, for them to grow up as Christians with godly values, in order to impact their generation as good and positive role models.
WEB MANAGEMENT
Creates a user-friendly on-line presence to the public, making ACCI visible and known and also to enable an efficient and effective communication process between the old and new generation to engage with the church. They reach out to diversified cultures to engage and guide non-believers to pursue and come to know Christ
MEDIA & SOCIAL MEDIA
Ensures ACCI is heard, made visible and exposed via our Internal & External Communication media, video and photography in collaboration with Creative Direction Team. Also interacts and informs general public via Facebook, Twitter, Podcast, Instagram, blogs etc., creating an avenue and place where the Church can be projected to engage with internal and external clients.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Team is made up of individuals with skills and experience related to graphic design, fine arts, motion graphics and advertising. The Creative Director works closely with Administrator and Media and is responsible for identifying and enhancing the overall look and sound of chosen campaigns (conferences, special church events etc.) in collaboration with that of the leadership within the church in order to produce a mutually acceptable product. This applies to:
o Flyers, Banners, Posters, Church Correspondence (letters, invitations, announcements, bulletins & presentations)
TECHNICAL
Responsible for ACCI PA Systems, ensuring high quality sound during events. Works under the direction of Music (Sound) Director and closely with Events Lead. Responsible for Production of the best possible atmosphere for all Church programmes through sound reinforcement. This includes, but is not limited to, creating the best sound mix possible, creating an audio mix that meets the mood which the Pastor/ Music Director/ Worship leader wants to convey, and supporting the audio needs of the people involved with the church services. Ultimately, glorify God through providing excellent audio services
MUSIC
Anchor Soundz – The house band of ACCI, operates under the direction of the Music Director and Choir Leader in harmony and direction of Resident Pastor and Senior Pastors of ACCI. The Ministry strategically, spiritually and skilfully brings the Church and Congregation into the presence of God through music. The MD works to support closely and consistently, the Mission and Vision of the Church through the presentation of music styles. The team develops long term worship plan for congregation and establishes the standard and quality of music and worship.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY (Women of Wisdom
The ministry refreshes, empowers, renews and helps women refocus on the will of God for their lives, homes and community. It also promotes, protects and advances the Mission and Vision God has given to ACCI, employing the skills, gifts and talents of women to reach their highest potential. This ministry challenges and teaches women to become strong in their emotions, faithfu & honourable as wives, mothers, employees and employers.
MEN'S MINISTRY (Men of Honour)
This is not just a men’s ministry but a ministry “to” men. It develops, coordinates and administers an effective and comprehensive ministry to meet the needs of men. The Ministry provides leadership to and co-ordinates all men in ACCI. It reaches out, challenges and encourages men to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and be leaders by being role models in their homes, church, community and secular environment, and also to become successful in every area of their lives in line with the Mission and Vision of ACCI.
LONE PARENTING
Helps bring strength, stability, direction, healing and an established positive outlook in life after the initial trauma of loss due to death, still birth, divorce, and separation to lone parents. The ministry gives respite and a place to vent; at the same time helps to refocus on life. It also encourages, inspires and bridges the gap between parent, child or families.
SINGLES MINISTRY (City Royals)
Helps instil value, purpose, fulfilment of dreams and also encourages and challenges single men and women to aim high and achieve their goals and potential in line with Mission and Vision of ACCI. The ministry inspires single men and women to develop to a state of wholeness and completion and to enjoy everyday life on their way to destiny. ANCHOR CONTEMPORARY
This Ministry is relevant, relational and revolutionary. It mobilises the Youth in creative ways to make the gospel and the Kingdom of God relevant to them in line with the Mission and Vision of ACCI. It offers support and encouragement; academically, spiritually, emotionally, financially and socially. It ensures the youth achieve their goals and full potential in every sphere of life; growing to be responsible men and women in the Kingdom of God, home, community and nation and leaving a Legacy for generations to come. Anchor Contemporary serves the youth and those young at heart in ACCI and our community; boldly inspiring hope for a better future and leading them to Christ. They meet every Sunday.
ANCHOR W.I.S.E. (Students)
Mobilises students, giving them a sense of value, acceptance and belonging. The ministry aims to support, walk and talk students of all categories through some of their challenges at home, College/University, Church, Relationships, Health, Finance and Life in general. This is in collaboration with the Youth Lead.
MARRIAGE MINISTRY
Creates close knit families and intimate marriage relationships. The primary purpose of the ministry is to enrich marriage through biblical seminars, retreats, fellowships and social outings. Our desire is to have married couples grow closer to one another through biblical principles and to bond with other couples for biblical accountability in their marriages. We, as a ministry, define marriage from a biblical perspective as consisting of one man and one woman (Genesis 3:18-24). We also desire that married couples invite non-churched, non-Christian married couples to our gatherings in the hope of encouraging them to have a relationship with Christ.
PROCESS OF MARRIAGE IN ACCI:
Preparation: Marriage is a Covenant and as such very important; It is lifelong till death do you part so the Leadership of ACCI do not take it lightly. These are the steps to be taken as soon as you step from dating into courtship (after official proposal of marriage & acceptance);
1. Couple must inform Parents (Especially If Under Parental Control)
2. Resident Pastor/Supervising Minister must be informed
3. Counselling dates must be agreed on: Maximum Counselling is 3 Months; Minimum is 9 weeks; thereafter 2 weeks post marital review
4. Marriage must be Registered with Local Authority before Wedding/Blessing Ceremony will be conducted in church in order not to breech laws of the land.
5. Apart from spiritual support from ACCI Leadership; Engagements, Marriage, Naming, Dedication, Bereavement & Funerals etc are all Private Events and not the Church’s responsibility. Therefore Members must use their own relational resource available to them in the church by asking for specific support or other practical help from their associations.
